Trim Levels
Four trim levels are available for the 2024 model year: the entry-level LS trim, the LT trim, the RS trim, and the Premier trim.
Performance
The Chevrolet Equinox is equipped with a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 175 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque. This powertrain is combined with a six-speed automatic transmission, front-wheel drive capabilities, and a MacPherson front suspension, but all-wheel drive is also available to purchase. According to EPA estimates, the Chevrolet Equinox gets approximately 26 miles per gallon in the city and 31 miles per gallon on the highway.
Interior Design
The Chevrolet Equinox is packed with useful interior features, including active noise cancellation, a six-speaker audio system, a 12-volt power outlet, and single-zone manual climate control. All five seats are upholstered with premium cloth material to make your journeys through Morgan, UT more enjoyable. The maximum cargo volume with rear seats folded down is 63.9 cubic feet, but hidden storage areas are found under the rear cargo floor.
The dashboard features a seven-inch infotainment touchscreen display with the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 System and wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration. An additional 3.5-inch driver information center also shows important information about the road conditions around Evanston, WY, and beyond. Other standard features include keyless open and start, Bluetooth® connectivity, USB charging and data ports, Wi-Fi hotspot capability, and a SiriusXM satellite radio with a three-month platinum trial subscription.
The LT and RS trims add a larger 4.2-inch driver information system, eight-way power driver seat, remote start system, premium-wrapped steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, and the option for a larger eight-inch infotainment system with built-in navigation. The Premier trim level adds a 120-volt power outlet, heated steering wheel, wireless charger, auto-dimming mirror, and the eight-inch infotainment system standard.
Exterior Design
The Chevrolet Equinox comes standard with automatic LED headlights, heated power outside mirrors, manual liftgate, acoustic laminated windows, and 17-inch aluminum wheels. The LT trim adds a power-programmable liftgate and LED daytime running lights, while the RS comes with roof-mounted side rails, LED tail lights, and 19-inch aluminum wheels. The Premier trim has fog lights, 18-inch aluminum wheels, and integrated turn signals on the heated side mirrors. A panoramic power sunroof is optional, starting on the LT trim.
Five paint schemes are available from the base trim and up: summit white, sterling gray metallic, mosaic black metallic, lakeshore blue metallic, and riptide blue metallic. Starting on the LT trim, three additional colors are available: harvest bronze metallic, radiant red tint coat, and iridescent pearl tri-coat. To add an extra dash of style to your ride, a blackout package and a chrome package are also available to purchase.
Safety
The Chevy Safety Assist is a suite of six advanced safety features that protect you from danger when traveling Heber City streets. It includes a lane keep assist and departure warning, forward collision alert and automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, following distance indicator, and intelligent automatic high beams. A rear vision camera and cruise control also come standard. Advanced features, such as front and rear park assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane change alert with slide blind zone alert, are standard starting on the LS trim, whereas the HD rear vision camera is exclusive to the Premier trim. Full adaptive cruise control is optional on the RS and Premier trims.
